Five decades of psychedelic rock, electric blues, jazz, and soul. 23 albums. 300+ songs. One relentless guitar.
Born in 1954, Jeff Liberman began recording in the mid-1970s at PSR Studios in Chicago, self-releasing three albums on his own Librah Records label that would become some of the most sought-after private pressings in psychedelic rock history.
His debut Jeffery Liberman (1975) features heavy guitar psych drenched in fuzz-wah, phasing, mystical vocals, acid-blues, mellow folk, West Coast vibes, and wild synth experiments. Followed by Solitude Within (1975) and Synergy (1978), these records were among the first private pressings to gain cult status among psych collectors in the 1980s.
After a quiet period, Liberman roared back in 2002 with Love Is Worth the Blues and hasn't stopped since — releasing an astonishing 20+ albums across blues, jazz, rock, and funk. His latest, Butterflies and Bees (2025), proves the fire still burns.
